Sakura room (1F)

"Sakura" is the most exquisite of our rooms where you can truly feel the warmth and quiet of a traditional Japanese home. You'll sleep soundly in this authentic tatami mat room on our cozy, comfortable futon bedding. Everything, from the elegant furnishings to the wall decorations, is here to create a peaceful, quiet space just for you.

Our favorite part of the room is the private engawa (wooden deck). Think of it as your own little sanctuary, a quiet place to sit and watch over the beautiful Japanese garden. We love starting the day here with a cup of green tea, or maybe ending it with a cold drink from your private mini-fridge, just listening to the calming sounds of the outdoors.

Momiji room (1F)

"Momiji" is our charming Western-style room that offers the perfect blend of Japanese tranquility and modern comfort. The atmosphere here is warm and cozy, thanks to the beautiful, rich wood that covers the walls and tatami mats covering the floor. 

This room is bathed in natural light, flowing in through a large French window that offers a stunning, immediate view of the traditional Japanese garden. It’s wonderful to wake up and feel completely connected to the quiet beauty outside. Inside, you'll find a comfortable double bed and a lovely antique work desk that also serves as a dresser.

"Momiji" is the most conveniently located room in the house; it's the closest to the main entrance and offers the easiest access to the garden. 

Ume room (2F)

We've created "Ume" as a true sanctuary for those who value space, quiet, and a spectacular view. You'll find "Ume" tucked away at the far end of the property on the second floor, which guarantees you deep privacy.

Your own private Japanese engawa (wooden deck) offers you truly breathtaking views from a high vantage point: your window overlooks our beautiful Japanese garden, the peaceful Kinokawa river, and the majestic Kii mountains rolling into the distance. It’s an inspiring scene to wake up to every day! This is your personal spot to sit, enjoy the view, and pour a cold drink from your mini-fridge.

Inside, the room offers wonderful flexibility and comfort. You'll rest well on a cozy Western double bed, but we’ve also included the authentic feel of tatami flooring where we can set up an additional futon if you need extra space. We've provided a lovely antique work desk for focused hours of writing, and you’ll appreciate the large storage space to keep your belongings tucked neatly away.

Matsu room (2F)

We invite you into "Matsu," a second-floor room where the feeling of fresh air and expansive views is immediate and restorative. If you love waking up and stepping out to breathe in the mountain air, this room is just for you.

The highlight of "Matsu" is definitely the private balcony—your personal space to sit and enjoy the truly spectacular panorama. From this high vantage point, you get an inspiring, sweeping view of our traditional Japanese garden, the peaceful Kinokawa river, and the majestic Kii mountains rolling into the distance. It’s an amazing spot for quiet contemplation.

Inside, we've blended comfort and tradition. You'll rest well on a cozy Western semi-double bed, and the tatami flooring adds that wonderful, traditional feel to the room. For those focused work sessions, we've provided a simple work desk, and you'll find plenty of space to unpack and settle in with the convenient built-in storage. "Matsu" is all about easy comfort and connecting deeply with the nature right outside your door.
